Yours truly, unfortunately, cannot make it. Darn. I’m swamped with the last of my condo renovations (real hardwood on both floors to replace decades-old carpet) plus one last intensive photography course (portfolio development). I spent the last 4 days in Tobermory, Ontario, battling black flies (they won) while taking 700 digital photos of everything Great Lakes coastal: rare wildflowers, Flowerpot Island, boats, Lake Huron, Georgian Bay islands, ways, rocks, Tobermory marina, and more. Much fun to be on and near the lakes that I love with three serious photography students and our terrific instructor, Bryce Denison, and his wife/photographer Linda Denison. Lucky for them I was there to attract the black flies and most of them were spared. My reward was to bring home many gorgeous images to put up (and offer for sale) on my forthcoming photography website and blog (currently in a “beta” version).
Meantime RV/Ecovision is patiently waiting for our first outing of the year. Oh, and so is Henry Boy! Looking forward to seeing Great Lakers at least at Interlochen on August 1st before I head to Lake Superior for the month. Plus hopefully I’ll also be able to join you in July at the new outing planned by Skye and Joy for July 13-15 near Mt. Pleasant. You have already been sent the email from Shirley and I’ll post details here soon.
